Bin liner size guide

There's a liner for every bin

Tips for choosing the right bin liner

  • Choose a larger bag over a smaller one to ensure it will fit the waste container
  • Select a bin bag that is strong enough to handle the weight of your rubbish

How to measure your bin for the right liner size

To measure the width:

  1. For square or rectangular bins: Add up the width of all four sides.
For round bins: Measure around the top of the bin (the circumference), or multiply the diameter by 3.14.
  2. Divide that number by 2 – this is the bin liner width.

To measure the height:

  1. Measure the height of your bin.
  2. Add 20% extra to the height – this gives room for overhang and tying.

You now have your bin liner size: width × height
