What size are these mailing satchels?
A3+ size: 400mm wide × 440mm long, plus a 70mm sealing flap.
Are they home compostable?
Yes. They're certified to AS 5810 for home composting (ABAP 20047) and AS 4736 for commercial composting (ABAP 10113).
How long do they take to break down?
It depends on your compost. Warm, moist, well-turned compost breaks them down fastest, while cooler home compost takes longer. Cutting them into small pieces helps.
Can I put them in my green bin?
Only if your council's FOGO service accepts certified compostable packaging. Many don't, so check with your council first.
Can they be recycled?
No. Compostable satchels can contaminate recycled plastic, so keep them out of kerbside and soft plastic recycling.
Will they break down in landfill?
Compostable packaging needs air, moisture and microbes to break down. Landfill mostly lacks those conditions, so composting is the best option.
Can these satchels be reused?
Yes. The second seal strip lets you reuse each satchel once, for returns or a second shipment.
Are these the same as compostable courier bags or mailers?
Yes. Compostable mailing satchels, courier bags, postage bags and mailers are different names for the same type of product.
Do you offer custom branded satchels?
Yes, from a minimum order of 10,000 satchels.
