Will It Fit My Bin?
A rim circumference of approximately 100cm or less is a useful starting guide. Measure all the way around the top of your bin, then check its height against the bag dimensions, allowing extra room to cover the base and fold over the rim.
Fit depends on the bin’s shape and height, not just its litre capacity. Check your measurements before ordering, especially for pull-out and integrated bins.
Best For
- Everyday kitchen and medium household bins
- Pull-out and under-counter bins, subject to fit
- Laundry and garage bins
- Office and staffroom bins
How to Use & Store
- Tear off a bag, open it and place it in a clean, dry bin
- Fold the top over the rim
- Avoid excess liquids, sharp items and overfilling
- Empty your bin regularly and tie the handles before carrying
- Store unused bags in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- For best performance, use before the best-before date printed on the packaging
Disposal
Compost the liner at home with suitable food scraps, or use your council’s FOGO collection where certified compostable liners are accepted. Check your council’s guidance on what can go inside the bag too.
If used for general household rubbish, dispose of the filled liner in general waste. Keep compostable bags out of kerbside and soft plastic recycling.
FAQs
Are these bags home compostable?
Yes. They are certified for both home and commercial composting. Certification details are listed above.
How long do they take to break down?
It depends on your compost. Warm, moist compost with good airflow helps the bags break down, while cooler or less active compost takes longer.
Will they fit my pull-out bin?
Pull-out bins vary in shape and size. Check your bin’s measurements against the bag dimensions, leaving enough room to cover the base and fold over the rim.
Can I put them in my council FOGO bin?
Yes, where your council accepts certified compostable liners. Check your local council’s guidance before use.
Can they go in recycling?
No. Compostable bags should stay out of kerbside and soft plastic recycling.
Are compostable and biodegradable bags the same?
Not necessarily. “Biodegradable” does not automatically mean a bag is suitable for composting. These liners are certified for home and commercial composting.
Will they compost in landfill?
They should not be expected to compost in landfill. Where possible, dispose of them with suitable food scraps through home composting or an organics collection that accepts them.

Will It Fit My Bin?
These liners are designed for 36L bins. With a flat bag width of 600mm, the theoretical opening circumference is approximately 120cm. Your bin's rim circumference should be smaller than this to allow room for fitting the liner over the edge. The actual usable opening may be smaller depending on the bag's construction.
Measure around the top rim of your bin and check its height. Fit depends on your bin's shape and dimensions, not just its litre capacity.
Not sure about the fit? Use our Bin Liner Size Guide to check your measurements and find a suitable size.
How to Use & Store
- Tear off a bag, open it and place it inside your bin
- Fold the top over the rim to keep the liner in place
- Avoid excess liquids, sharp objects and overfilling
- Leave enough space at the top to gather and close the bag
- Support the base when lifting or carrying heavier contents
- Store unused rolls in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
Disposal
These bin liners are designed for general household and workplace waste. Once filled, close the bag and dispose of it with your general waste.
These bags are not compostable and should not be placed in council FOGO or other organics collections. Keep used bin liners out of kerbside recycling.

Fit depends on the bin’s shape and height, not just its litre capacity. See our bin liner size guide for help choosing your size.

FAQs
Which dispenser box does this refill fit?
It fits the Ecopack 36L Compostable Bin Liners Dispenser Box (ED4436). You can also use the roll without a box.
Is a dispenser box included?
No. This product is a refill roll containing 40 bags. The dispenser box is sold separately.
Are these bags home compostable?
Yes. They are certified for both home and commercial composting. Full certification details are listed above.
How long do they take to break down?
It depends on your compost. Warm, moist compost with good airflow helps the bags break down, while cooler or less active compost takes longer.
Where possible, dispose of them with suitable food scraps through home composting or a FOGO collection that accepts them.
