What materials are used to make the compostable liners?

We make our compostable liners from GMO-free corn starch, PLA, and PBAT. Additionally, we have designed this innovative compostable material to decompose in moist conditions and revert to carbon dioxide and water without leaving harmful residues behind in the process. Furthermore, our compostable products are all certified to strict international standards and we go so far as to use non-toxic inks in the printing on these products.

How long does composting take?

Compostable bags usually decompose in about 90-180 days, depending on the composting environment. Industrial composting is faster for two reasons:

  1. Home composting bins typically have temperatures just a few degrees higher than outside, while industrial composting reaches 50°C or more for months (with peaks of 60-70°C).
  2. Everyday people handle home composting, which may not always maintain ideal conditions, while experts manage industrial composting plants.

How do I use my compostable bin liners?

However this innovative material differs slightly from the traditional plastic you may have previously used to line your bin. It's designed to break down! To avoid disappointment, change your liner every 2-3 days, avoid excess moisture, sharp objects, and store in a cool place. (avoid temperatures over 19 degrees Celsius).

Check the date of manufacture printed on the label and use within 12 months from this date.
